On June 11, 2022, we received a very special guest at Juanita School. Irene Kendi is a youth and gender expert, mentor and inspirational speaker who was invited to speak to our students. She is also a 3 time award winner on service to humanity.
Irene shared her story with our students about her journey of brokenness, breakthrough, loss, and restoration. She also donated a few copies of her book ,”Carrying of a Firebrand,” which can be found at the school’s library.
We appreciate Irene Kendi for honouring our invitation and taking the time to share her story. She is an inspiration to our students and many others.
